Transportation Industry

One of the industries that reflects the economic growth of a country and an infrastructure to develop it is transportation industry. For each unit of economic development and development , about two units’ growth in the transportation industry are required.

The industry is divided into three main areas including maritime, land and air transport.

In the Land Transport Sector, which accounts for about 85 % of cargo handling and passengers, it is grouped into two categories:

Road transport

Railway Transport

In road transport, the private sector is the largest in about 2015, followed by co – operatives and state organizations. In the rail sector, one of the benefits of this field on the road is the saving in Gas oil consumption, which is worth more than $ 9.5 billion [USD ] . The fuel consumption is about 6.5 liters per road state and 32 liters for rail. Compliance with the environment is also a second advantage in the latter field.

The second category is air transport.

One of the surest means of transport is to include airport services for freight transport domestically and globally.

The next category is maritime transportation. It comprises more than 86 % of the international trade.

According to a 20 – year vision, the share of rail transport will reach about 30 % , which requires the construction of 1,000 km of railway . About 20 million travelers have to be raised in this area. But there is no such perspective, no specific frame for this type of transportation.

Due to the importance of this industry, Mehrtash Sepahan co. could allocate the products of lubricating and chemicals for this area:

  • Gasoline motor oil
  • Diesel motor oils
  • Railway engine lubricants
  • Automotive gear oil
  • Anti-freeze
  • Adblue (for heavy transportation vehicles to reduce environmental pollution)
